The "Lifting Plateau" with Cody Myler
Cody Myler is a personal trainer and the owner and operator of NXT Rep Fitness. This is also not his first time on the show, you can hear his past podcasts with us here. Cody talks with us today about what happens physiologically when we lift weights, and how our muscles can plateau. Essentially, our muscles have memory. They adapt to movements and stressors, so when we lift weights we have to change up what we are doing. When you start to feel yourself hit that plateau, it's time to trick our muscles again. Other things affect how much muscle we can keep on our bodies as well, and having enough muscle is so important to be able to move and do things properly. Listen in to hear how exactly we should train, and also a little bit about recovery tips.Connect with Cody: Website & Instagram
