Today we talk with Dr. Cristina Wohlgehagen about headaches and migraines 101, and we talk with Mo Brossette about how to reframe your self-talk.
Headaches and Migraines 101
Today we talk with an expert in the field of neurology and headache medicine about the basics of headaches and migraines. She answers some questions like: What is the difference in a headache and migraine? What causes them? How common are they? And most importantly, how do we treat them? Most people who suffer from migraines don't get relief from common over-the-counter pain killers, and are completely debilitated from the pain and sensitivity. Dr. Cris talks about some of the things that could trigger a migraine or headache. We also talk about whether or not diet and environmental factors play a role in the prevalence of headaches and migraines.
Dr. Cris is board certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine, and Founder of the International Headache Center.
Reframing Self-Talk
Mo Brossette joins us today to talk about how we can change our self-talk to live a more meaningful and purposeful life. There are certain words in our daily vocabulary that subconsciously might be holding you back. Self-talk is so powerful, it can ultimately change the trajectory of your day by one thought or word. The conversations you have with yourself most often turn into your truth, so why would you talk negatively to yourself only for it to come true? Beating yourself up and thinking the worst could happen at any given time, will never get you to your highest potential. Here is another episode we did on self-talk with Mo.
Mo Brossette is the Director of Mindset and Nutrition at The Adaptive Training Foundation.
