You Can't Exercise Out A Poor Diet

Diet is not just for health reasons, but you need a good diet to even sleep better! Many women think of working out as a way to just burn calories so they can eat more calories somewhere else. If you use working out simply to burn calories, you are adding negative energy to something that should be positive. You don't want to use food as a reward for working out. Food is fuel, so if you eat crap, you are going to feel like crap. Weight loss vs fat loss is not that different. So many people dread working out, but you just have to start and we promise it gets easier! You should always have some protein on your plate! If you're not getting amino acids, you may be working against yourself as far as muscle gains. If your goal is to burn fat and change your body composition, there a few differentiations you can make during your workout and throughout the day. Tina says always, eat a lot of proteins and non starchy veggies. Avoid sugar and flour products! Keep a food journal! A log can keep you accountable for your caloric intake. Stay hydrated! When you wake up in the morning, have at least 10 ounces of water. Try to be consistent in your diet and exercise. When you stay consistent, you do not have to change your workouts to accommodate for your aging body.

Sugarproof: The Hidden Dangers In Sugar That Put Your Child At Risk

It's not just sugar in general that is harming our children, it's other things like fructose. We have a silent epidemic of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease now. Wow! Be careful of fruit juice concentrates, they often contain large amounts of fructose. The more sugar we give our children the more the sweet craving is enforced. Processed foods contain so much sugar, so find a healthy swap! Beware of granola bars and yogurt. They contain so much sugar! Ketchup is also one of the biggest violators! There are over 200 names for sugars in foods. Do your research!Start your baby out on the right track! Try no juice before 12 months of age. Dilute your juice with water like Bernadette did with her children! Breakfast is a big topic. Feed a non sugary breakfast to stop the sugar cycle. Try whole grains and proteins for breakfast instead of sugary cereals and syrups.
